Susan’s Story, a Licensed Practical Nurse

As a licensed practical nurse, Susan had always known that she wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. She had always been drawn to the field of healthcare and was excited to start her career as an LPN.

After completing her education and passing the NCLEX-PN, Susan started working at a busy hospital in the city. She was assigned to the medical-surgical unit, where she worked alongside a team of RNs and other LPNs to provide care to patients with a wide range of health issues.

At first, Susan was a little intimidated by the fast-paced environment of the hospital. But she quickly learned to adapt, and before long, she was able to confidently provide basic nursing care to her patients. She enjoyed getting to know her patients and helping them through their health challenges.

As she gained more experience, Susan began to take on more responsibilities. She was entrusted with administering medication and performing basic procedures, such as wound dressings and catheter care. She also worked closely with the RNs on the team, collaborating to develop care plans and coordinating patient care.

Despite the challenges that came with the job, Susan loved being an LPN. She knew that she was making a difference in the lives of her patients, and she enjoyed being a part of a team of healthcare professionals who were all working towards the same goal.

As the years passed, Susan continued to grow in her role as an LPN. She took on more leadership responsibilities, serving as a mentor to new LPNs and helping to train them in the skills they needed to succeed in the field. She also continued her education, taking additional courses to further her knowledge and skills.

Throughout her career, Susan remained committed to providing the best possible care to her patients. She knew that she was making a positive impact on the lives of others, and she was grateful to be able to do what she loved every day.
